Tuna is considered to be a great choice for healthy eating people. Healthier replacements like yogurt and avocado are usually used to enhance their healthy components. People trying to reduce weight often turn to Tuna because of its high protein and vitamins. It is also labeled as Dieter’s dish in 1960. Tuna healthy salad often starts with a blend of two ingredients- Tuna and Mayonnaise. The Tuna used is usually pre-cooked, canned, and packaged in Water and oil. Common ingredients used in Tuna healthy salad variants are onion, celery, pickles, relish, etc. When the Tuna healthy salad mixture is placed between two bread pieces, it makes the Tuna healthy salad sandwich. Tuna healthy Salad, coupled with celery, is very similar to Chicken salad and is cheaper comparatively and thus resulted in its steep rise in popularity.

Recipe 1- Mediterranean Tuna healthy Salad

This recipe is a Mediterranean low diet tuna healthy salad recipe. It’s Gluten-free. Lemon is used for tartness, fresh basil for an herb flavor, and celery for crunch. In this recipe, High-calorie fatty Mayonnaise has been replaced with olive. 


  • 2/3 rd cup of Water packed tuna
  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped basil leaves
  • 1/2 stalk celery, minced
  • Two tablespoon lemon juice,
  • Olive oil to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste.


  • Tuna to be cut into small pieces and place it in a mixing bowl. 
  • Add the basil, celery, and lemon juice to the bowl. Mix them well using a fork and tablespoon.
  • Use olive oil to soften the Tuna healthy salad to your taste. Add salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with coriander leaves if you want. Serve. 

 Recipe 2- Tuna healthy Salad Recipe

  1. Servings- two 
  2. Preparation/Cooking time: 1 hour-10 minute


  • 2/3 rd cup of Water packed tuna
  • 1/3 rd cup cranberries
  • 1/2 apple, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tbsp light mayonnaise
  • One green onion chopped
  • 4 cups chopped Spinach
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Olive oil to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste.


  • Tuna to be cut into small pieces and place it in a mixing bowl. 
  • Add the cranberries, apple, mayonnaise, green onion, salt, and pepper and refrigerate for one hour.
  • Put 2 cups of spinach on each plate.
  • Place half the Tuna healthy salad from the mixing bowl in each plate and SERVE.
