When it comes to eating healthy, the best healthy salad dressings can make any dish taste better, without sacrificing taste. This means that even though you may be eating salad, adding some of these healthful dressings to your dish can change it into something that is healthier and tastier. The following are some of the healthy salad dressings that you can use to add to your salad.
Add Enough Vegetables In Your Salad
The first three healthiest dressings for salads are olive oil, fresh herbs, and chopped romaine lettuce. The best healthy salad dressings by far take on the healthy fear of bad fats and adding more vegetables, take on the healthy desire to add more grains, up more roughage, take on the healthy habit to eat the rainbow, eat your salad a little bit, down a few more salads, get your own five daily, etc. The list goes on, but it is pretty simple, if you take it one step at a time. Take a bit, put it in, taste it, and add more if you have a craving.
Healthy Salad Dressing List
Some other salad dressings to include are fresh herbs such as basil, parsley, and dill. Some people add lemon juice to these salads because they like their foods to taste good, and lemon juice works great with most foods. In addition, using fresh herbs adds flavor to your salad and it is easier to use fresh herbs in a salad than dry herbs, as you can put them in and let them sit for a while before you add them to the dish.
Another one of my favorite salad dressings is olive oil, but it is sometimes hard to find in many grocery stores. In fact, some of the places where you would see this dressing would be very close to the foods that you do not want it to go to. Instead, use some good quality salad dressing from your pantry and use a tablespoon or two each of it, then add some croutons, some balsamic vinegar, some garlic powder, and salt to taste to the salad and serve immediately.
A third of my list of good healthy salad dressings also comes from a pantry, which is lemon juice and salt. It gives a great taste to a salad and it can also help keep your salad from getting too old. If you need some extra citric acid in your diet, try adding a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice to the salad as well as some lime juice from lemons. and balsamic vinegar, and salt to taste to help preserve the flavor.
One last one of my nice healthy salads is a mixture of a combination of chopped carrots, celery, cucumbers, and onion. This salad is so healthy and tasty that I have made it for every meal of the day. There are so many recipes that call for the ingredients in this salad, but the only ingredient in it that I add to make the salad taste better is lemon juice.
You Can Add Some Chopped Romaine Lettuce
When it comes to adding good healthy salad dressings, adding some chopped romaine lettuce to your salad can really change it from boring to delicious. You can even throw in a couple of sprigs of green leafy vegetables, and use chopped tomatoes, bell pepper, mushrooms, and spinach to give it some color.
If you are going out to eat with your friends or family, one of my favorite ways to enjoy the best healthy salads, is to order a variety of different salads that are made with different kinds of fruits, vegetables, and different kinds of meats. You can also order pizza and pasta dishes for that added protein and taste. Once you learn how to create all kinds of healthy salads, you will enjoy them as much as you enjoyed the ones you make from the pantry!
